The Project : Propose a community arts school in a neighbourhood residential zone.

The challenge

Education centre is not a common use in the residential area, especial within land zoned neighbourhood residential.

SPD solution

Working closely and collaboratively with local council and in sympathy with strategic planning policies, smart planning and design managed to avoid council’s refusal by working carefully and creatively with council decision-makers – a decision that was vindicated with a magnificent outcome.
